Privacy-first memory infrastructure for coding agents

A local-first memory layer that lets AI coding agents carry context across sessions, with consent, provenance and deletion designed in from the start.

The problem

AI coding agents forget everything between sessions. The obvious fix — send the working context to someone's server — trades a real privacy cost for the convenience, and does it silently.

For anyone working on client code, that trade is not available. The context is not theirs to upload.

The approach

A memory layer that runs locally by default. Facts are curated rather than hoarded, each carries where it came from, and deletion is a first-class operation rather than an afterthought.

Designed so that what an agent remembers is inspectable by the person it belongs to — you can read the memory, correct it, and remove it.

Built as infrastructure, not a feature: the same layer serves whichever agent is doing the work.

Where it landed

Agents that keep useful project context across sessions without the working context leaving the machine.

Consent, provenance and deletion are properties of the system rather than promises in a policy.
